Before the sorting process, the raw material is shredded to a particle size between 2 and 16 mm, and then washed of adhering impurities(e.g. paper labels). The shredded and pre-cleaned material is then mixed with the carrier liquid,in specially developed homogenization tanks. Next, the homogenized suspension is fed via a static feed pipe into the rotating bowl. Centrifuges are commonly applied to mass finishing applications and use the multiplied force of gravity to separate heavier suspended solids from the process liquid solution.

Application:2- and 3-phase decanters separator set standards for crud treatment and solvent recovery.

3-phase decanter separates the crud into solids, aqueous phase and organic phase. In the cylindrical section of the bowl, the aqueous and the organic liquid phases are simultaneously separated and clarified, whereas the conical part of the bowl is used for dewatering the solids. The scroll conveys the solids to the solids discharge. The aqueous phase is discharged under gravity while the solvent is discharged from the decanter by means of a paring disc under the exclusion of air.

In 2-phase decanters, the clay is removed from the suspension so that the customer receives a virtually solids-free clarified organic phase. The solid-wall bowl of the 2-phase decanter illustrated in the diagram has a cylindrical section for efficient separation and clarification of the suspension as well as a conical section for efficient dewatering of the separated clay. The product is continuously fed into the rotating bowl via the feed tube and is accelerated to bowl speed. The clay sediments on the interior wall of the bowl due to centrifugal force; it is then scraped off by the armour-plated scroll and conveyed to the solids dis-charge.

Plant operators always focus on how these jobs can be managed efficiently and with minimum impact on the environment for the least possible cost. The same applies to the treatment of industrial fluids such as mineral oils, cooling lubricants and wash liquids. Here, the aim is to increase the service life of these fluids, reduce wear on tools, prepare workpieces for further finishing and thus relieve strain on budgets by reducing the need for resources and avoiding waste materials.

Treatment of industrial fluids

Treatment of metalworking coolants and wash liquids

Cleaning and dewatering of lube oil, hydraulic oil and diesel oil

Treatment of waste oil, used emulsion, MARPOL oil and oily water

Cooling lubricants must regularly be rid of solid contaminants and tramp oil to maintain their properties. The earlier and more reliably this is done, the more consistently unplanned machine shutdowns and unhygienic production conditions can be avoided. The separators can be directly integrated in production to ensure smooth processing by means of early partial stream purification. The finest solids and tramp oil are separated off in one single step, thus achieving a four- to fivefold increase in the service life of the cooling lubricants used. Machine downtimes are reduced to a minimum. The product conditions are hygienic, and the reduction of the liquid volumes to be disposed of additionally improves the economic balance. Remove tramp oil reliably from wash liquids Separators also have an optimum effect in the treatment of industrial wash liquids. To maintain the optimum cleaning effect and ensure continuity of production, entrained particles and tramp oils must be separated out early. Separators separate these undesired constituents in the course of the production process. The treatment system convinces by its constantly high cleaning efficiency and a substantially reduced washing lye consumption. The service life of the washing liquid is significantly increased. Tool wear is reduced at the same time, whilst the quality of the machined work pieces increases.

With the right equipment, however, this blood component can be used as raw material for products for human consumption as well as for technical products. Animal blood consists of plasma and red cells (also called haemoglobin). The plasma is a functional protein with commercial potential for human consumption. The red blood cells are usually put to non-edible use, in dried form.

Blood centrifuge is kind of equipment which working for animal blood deep processing, under centrifugal force, separating blood plasma and blood cell.

This type is an ideal equipment for working under certain processing condition in centrifugal mode specialized for animal blood separation, which mainly working for liquid-liquid separation and liquid-liquid-solid separation, minimum size as 1 micron, especially for the small difference in specific gravity, fineness solid particle size, low content raw material separation and clarity.

With advantages of large amount handling capacity, high blood plasma yield, low blood cell broken rate, continuous and stable running, safety operation, all blood through part material as stainless steel, widely uses for biological, pharmaceutical, food stuff and fine chemical industries.

Blood is a valuable protein product with the same nutritive value as meat proteins and can therefore be used in quite a number of food products.

Blood meal

Blood meal is pretty much as the name says. It is dried animal blood and the blood is collected after the animals are killed and then dried to make a powder.

Raw blood into high-value products It has long been standard practice for much of the blood from animal slaughterhouses to be coagulated, dewatered and dried into blood meal, which is then sold as animal feed.

However, blood that has been collected in a suitably hygienic manner can now be processed to make it suitable for human consumption as a food ingredient. This represents considerably greater commercial value.

Animal blood consists of plasma and red cells (also called haemoglobin). The plasma is normally yellowish in color and constitutes up to 60% of the raw blood – and is a functional protein with commercial potential. The red blood cells are usually put to non-edible use, but can also be dried into functional and flavour edible protein in powder form.

To be sold as high-value products, edible proteins in the form of plasma powder or concentrated plasma must be processed with the utmost care. This means minimizing any air and water present, as well as avoiding any shear effect that might rupture red blood cells and turn plasma red.

Controlled temperature

Because of its high nutritional value, blood is particularly susceptible to bacterial growth.

Rigorous control of the temperature of the raw blood and plasma is therefore necessary in order to ensure an end-product that meets the exceptionally stringent requirements associated with food-quality ingredients.

Natural Latex is known to be a complex colloidal solution. The current concentration of natural latex is usually extracted by a disc centrifuge via a process called centrifugal sedimentation production. Disc centrifuge drums have many conical discs and during high-speed rotation, the water and impurities are separated from the latex and skim latex.

Yeast Fermentation & Separation Process

The yeast is fermented in a large, liquid tank and reaches fermentation through the high-speed centrifugation collecting bacteria. Because of the temperature, we can determine the next process for the bacteria through either a spray drying method or a freeze-drying method. To obtain powder from it, it is critical to ensure that the bacteria remains active in its environment. The use of Crown Machinery’s high-speed separator is the best choice for keeping bacteria concentrated in a low temperature.

Types of Fermentation:

1. Its relative molecular weight classification can be divided into relative molecular weight less than or greater than 1000 two types of products.

2. According to its location, the product can be divided into intracellular and extracellular products.

Characteristics of Fermentation Broth:

1. Low concentration of the fermentation product in the broth

2. The fermentation broth is normally a multi-component mixture

3. Lack of stability of the fermentation products

Pre-treatment of Fermentation Broth

There are various fermentation products. Due to the different strains and different characteristics of the fermentation broth, the choice of its pre-treatment methods are also different. Most of the fermentation products are present in the fermentation broth but a small number of products are present in the cell, (or both in the fermentation broth and in the cell) whether the product is intracellular or extracellular. The fermentation broth is filtered and pre-treated, separated by solid and liquid, and then the physical and chemical methods are used to extract the metabolites from the clarified filtrate, or the cells are disrupted from the cells, the fragments are separated and the intracellular products are extracted. The method of pre-treatment depends entirely on the nature of the separable substance, such as the stability of pH and heat, whether it is protein or non-protein, the quality and size of the molecule, and so on.

Separation Method of Fermentation Broth

The liquid-to-solid separation process of fermentation broth is an important unit operation often encountered in the production of biological products. Medium fermentation broth are some intermediate products and semi-finished products that need to solid-liquid separation. There are a lot of methods in the biological industry but, in a conventional method of separation, sieve, gravity sedimentation, flotation separation, centrifugal separation, and filtration occurs. Mainly, the solid liquor separation of fermentation broth is done by centrifugal separation and filtration.

The separation of dyes, paints, and ink is a liquid phase procedure containing colored particles. What appears to be uncomplicated at first sight actually proves to be a challenge upon closer inspection. This is because particles with precisely the right size must be used to achieve the desired colour as a protective function. The solution in this case undergoes centrifugal separating technology with specific classifying centrifuges.

In classifying centrifuges, the separating conditions are adjusted in such a way that only the desired particle size class is retained in the end-product. The centrifuge removes all other particles efficiently.

The very small particles of a few micrometers required in dyes, paints, and ink mean that high speed and large clarification areas are frequently required. To guarantee maximum quality, the discharge system can be controlled with solvents. No operating water comes in contact with the end-product. If organic solvents are used in production, it is necessary to use explosives protected centrifuges incorporated with special fittings and materials.

In addition, Crown Machinery specially developed an Ink tubular separator to save the membrane filtering costs.
